WHAT THE CLIENT ASKED FOR...

Andrea came to me to plan a vacation to Italy and Portugal. Her husband is from Portugal and they were meeting her in-laws there to sightsee and visit family. Andrea was traveling with her husband and teenage son. She needed to make the trip fun for her son who (as she described), is an old soul, as well as making it interesting and fun for her and her husband whose primary interests are food and wine, museums, and the outdoors. 

 

WHAT WE BOOKED FOR THEM...

We were able to combine their interests to design a trip that was perfect for all. Their private experiences included a food walking tour in Rome, visiting the Vatican, the Colosseum, and Pompeii, and exploring the Amalfi Coast (by boat and by land). In Portugal we mixed in family time with some spectacular activities such as a walking food tour of Lisbon and visiting a medieval walled city. They also spent time in Porto and the majestic Douro Valley.

"I know in the age of the internet and AirBnB people think they can do it all on their own, and I have, but I can tell you it was nothing compared to what we experienced working with Distinct Vacations.
