The Brando, French Polynesian Islands

The Brando – French Polynesia

Marlon Brando first spied the island on a hike in Tahiti while filming Mutiny on the Bounty in the early 1960s, and for years dreamt about building a luxury resort here. He envisioned a place where luxury lives in harmony with nature. And that is exactly what he created. The resort opened in 2014 and began welcoming guests from around the world. The Brando is a remote, elegant island hideaway with smart eco-credentials. Sustainability is at the heart of this magnificent private island resort. Only a 20-minute flight from the island of Tahiti, the 35 private villas and one private residence are each their own retreat. The Brando’s French chef brings a unique style to the resort’s cuisine, creating a fusion of Polynesian flavors and classical French techniques that tantalize your palate.
